| Video Discription | On Wednesday, the Supreme Court declined to grant an urgent hearing on a petition brought by Kavitha Kalvakuntla, a leader of the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS), contesting the summons the Enforcement Directorate (ED) had issued for her in connection with her alleged involvement in the Delhi Excise Policy case. The petition was brought before Chief Justice of India, DY Chandrachud, who declined to hear it right away and postponed it until March 24. After being questioned by the CBI on March 11, Kavitha, the daughter of Telangana CM K Chandrashekar Rao, was ordered to make another appearance on Thursday. Kavitha has filed a petition with the Supreme Court arguing that, according to the rules, a woman cannot be called in to be questioned by the ED while they are in the office and that her questioning should take place at her home.
