| Video Discription | Karad is a city in Satara district, and is characterized by huge rainfall and sugarcane production. The forts situated in this region are Sadashivgad, Dategad, Vasantgad, Gunvantgad and Machchindragad. The mountain top is extensive, and half an hour is enough to see the fort. There is a temple of Lord Shiva, in which 20-25 people can stay. This small hill fort is totally ruined by British army post 1857 freedom war. Now we find one water tank and Shiva temple. Every year there is big festival on this fort on occasion of Mahashivratri as per Indian calendar.
