| Video Discription | Marking a significant milestone in our pursuit of diversification, we are excited to announce that our subsidiary companies, CMPDIL and ECL, have initiated an R&D pilot project on underground coal gasification (UCG) for the production of syngas in Indian geo-conditions at Kasta West Block, Raniganj, ECL. The project is being implemented in collaboration with the Canada based agency Ergo Exergy Technologies Inc. (EETI) and will be completed in two phases over a period of two years. Underground coal gasification (UCG) is the process of converting coal into syngas in situ. This syngas can be used as feedstock in the chemical sector or as a fuel. UCG enables the access and usage of coal deposits that are not economically recoverable through conventional coal mining methods. |
