The town boasts itself as “the loneliest town on the loneliest road in America.” Later, we venture on to discover Owl Club Bar and Restaurant, noteworthy for its imposing taxidermy and its jukebox that features pretty much every song ever written. It’s also a hall of history; of gunfights, dances and rollerball (it was once “The Rinky Dink Roller Rink”). Down State Route 376, we check out Zach’s Lucky Spur, the "Best Bar in the Middle of Nowhere." It's a shack of a saloon in the shadow of a rickety windmill and the only watering hole in a town of about 70 folks (and quite a few dogs). Here we talk with owner Mike Zacharias about his penchant for collecting things and the friendly, helpful nature of desert folk in Nevada.
