The State CID has warned subscribers of Margadarsi Chit Funds against signing any documents at the request of agents or managers without proper verification. Some subscribers were deceived into signing papers that were used to file court petitions in an attempt to delay the closure of certain chit groups. CID SP Amit Bardar revealed that some subscribers had withdrawn their petitions after discovering that MCFPL agents or managers had misled them into signing and filing petitions in their names. He advised subscribers to thoroughly read any documents presented to them before signing.
