(Disclaimer: Its not a paid review) We chosen Kotagiri for our family staycation as its relatively more peaceful & quieter than Ooty & Coonoor. We stayed in Hillcroft Bungalow - its a lovely resort (3 BHK ) located amidst tea estates in a scenic location. Excellent villa with mesmerizing views. We had a perfect vacation! Food was cooked by the caretakers & it was really awesome. We experienced a good hygiene & safety especially during this COVID times. The caretakers Mr.Vignesh, Anand and Raja were friendly & co-operative and got all our requirements done perfectly. Bonfire was also arranged and we had a fun-filled time with family. If you're looking for a great stay in nominal price with great scenic views, then sure you can go for this. Overall worth the visit & money!! The drive on NH948 and NH181 en route Metuppalayam takes about 2 hours, 35 minutes by car. You can also get to the hills from Metuppalayam foothills via the picturesque Nigilri Mountain Railway or the Ooty Toy Train as it's popularly know. This heritage railway journey is a commute of 4 hours and 30 minutes, via Conoor. Travel tip: Self-driving car services are better than travel and tour services.
