| Video Discription | Ride along on a bumpy day during a practice ILS and a VFR closed pattern in the awesome L-39 Albatros jet. This video illustrates one of our recent glass cockpit installations in an L-39. The main flight display is a Garmin G3X Touch, and the standby EFIS is a GRT Mini-X. The GPS/com/nav is a Garmin 650, and the autopilot is also a Garmin. This aircraft's owner elected to retain the L-39's stock, analog engine gauges, but we also have a digital conversion available for them, too! During the ILS, note the "fly-thru" flight path boxes denoting the glideslope and localizer. This makes instrument approaches pretty darned simple. And the panel is so clean and well-laid out, everything is within reach and easy to see. Needless to say, we think this setup is one of the best you can get for the L-39. |
