| Video Discription | The Hundred Years War was a long conflict between England and France during the Middle Ages. It was one of the most notable conflicts of the medieval period, in which five generations of kings from two rival dynasties, House of Plantagenet, rulers of the Kingdom of England and House of Valois, rulers of the Kingdom of France fought for the throne of France and for French territories. The most important battles were: the battle of Sluys (1340), the battle of Crécy (1346), the battle of Poitiers (1356), the battle of Agincourt (1415), the battle of Verneuil (1424), the siege of Orléans (1429), and the Battle of Castillon (1453). After the war, the house of Valois retains the French throne, while the English and French monarchies remain separate. From this short documentary you can learn about the causes of the war, the timeline, the main battles, and the aftermath.
