| Video Discription | Laurent Blanc will not renew his contract as head coach of France, the French Football Federation confirmed on Saturday. In a joint statement with the governing body, Blanc confirmed that he had been unable to agree a new two-year contract. The 46-year-old met with president Noel Le Graet on Thursday to discuss his future but after 48 hours of consideration, neither party were able to reach an agreement. It brings to and end Blanc's two-year spell in charge after replacing Raymond Domenech in 2010 following France's World Cup debacle in South Africa. Blanc's appointment did restore some pride to the national side - he guided France to a 23-game unbeaten run before losing to Sweden in their final Group D game at Euro 2012. Runners up in their group, the French were eventually ousted by defending champions Spain in the quarter-finals, culminating in Blanc's departure.
