| Video Discription | Leonardo spent his childhood with his grandfather Antonio in the Anchiano countryside, near Vinci. He was taken away from his mother Caterina, a woman of a very peculiar origin. He freely explored the natural environment surrounding him and soon discovered the myriad of living creatures that he admired and learned to love. When he turned 17, his father took him to Florence, the main artistic and humanistic center of Italy. He surpasses his master Verrocchio in the art of painting. He creates three paintings inspired by religious subjects.
