| Video Discription | Earth, Wind & Fire followed up their 1979 opus "I Am" with the hits "Boogie Wonderland" and "After The Love Has Gone" with a decidedly non commercial LP in 1980 called "Faces". There were no notable hits and it left fans confused, so it tanked. Maurice made some personnel changes and went into the studio. The first song released was "Let's Groove" and the vocoderized intro told everyone that EWF was back in a big, new improved way. So successful was this new sound that "Let's Groove" spent eight weeks at #1 on the R&B charts, and peaked at #3 on the Hot 100. |
