| Video Discription | Voting was underway in 93 constituencies in the third phase of Lok Sabha Election 2024 on Tuesday (May 7). The voter turnout recorded across 10 states and 1 union territory till 1 pm was 39.22 percent as per the Election Commission data. While West Bengal saw the highest turnout so far, Maharashtra witnessed the lowest. The state-wise voter turnout till 1 PM was: Assam 45.88%, Bihar 36.69%, Chhattisgarh 46.14%, Goa 49.04%, Gujarat 37.83%, Karnataka 41.59%, Madhya Pradesh 44.67%, Maharashtra 31.55%, Uttar Pradesh 38.12%, West Bengal 49.27% and Dadra & Nagar Haveli And Daman & Diu 39.94%. Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah cast their votes in Ahmedabad as voting went underway across 10 states and one union territory for the third phase of the Lok Sabha elections. After casting his vote, PM Modi urged people to “vote as much as possible”. “Today is the third phase of voting. There is great importance of ‘Daan’ in our country and in the same spirit, the countrymen should vote as much as possible. 4 rounds of voting are still ahead.
