| Video Discription | (29 Jul 2016) A British politician who walked for almost four months from Buenos Aires, Argentina to Rio de Janeiro, Brazil to raise money for children has finally reached his destination, the Olympic city. Lord Michael Bates, a former minister of state at the British Home Office left Buenos Aires on April 6 and walked 3,000 kilometres (1,865 miles) during 115 days arriving on Friday just one week before the start of the Olympic Games in Rio. Bates raised 250,000 pounds for UNICEF. His arrival also coincides with the Olympic Truce called for by United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon, urging countries at war to lay down their weapons throughout the Olympic Games in August and the Paralympic Games in September.
