It’s no secret that our chef Varun Inamdar has a taste for adventure. And today, On the occasion of Independence Day he went beyond his comfort zone in search of culinary inspiration for the filming of a restaurant who has seen the phase of Independence and have been a part of it. Sayyed Ali Akbar started Lucky restaurant in 1938. Syed Safar Ali(fourth generation) who is the current co-owner of the Restaurant has been working here since the age of 10. Started on 9th of September 1938, which means, for more than 75 years, Lucky at Bandra has served us mouth-watering biryani, kheema pav, brain Tawa masala, and mutton samosa along with the later additions such as Chinese and seafood. Started as a seven dishes restaurant, now serves more than 200 different cuisines. From mill workers to World War II soldiers they've all been patrons.
