| Video Discription | Many of you have been very interested in the memory overclocking capabilities of the EVGA Z790 Classified. Especially 4 DIMM (2 DIMMs per channel) has been a quite unknown topic for this entire generation. I recently purchased some new G.Skill TridentZ 7200 and 7800 DDR5 kits and decided to check how well could they do on the EVGA Z790 Classified both in 2 DIMM and 4 DIMM situations. Recently I posted a sneak peek of the Classified running DDR5-8600 in Geekbench 3 and AIDA64 with 2 Hynix OEM sticks. With such frequencies, the Classified is actually very close to the DARK KINGPIN in 2 DIMM overclocking potential at least on ambient cooling. I managed to get 2 sticks running stable in HCI Memtest at DDR5-8000 with CL35-47-47 timing table. Overall, the Classified is surprisingly close to the DARK KINGPIN in daily overclocking potential, so you don't necessarily even need the DARK KINGPIN to be able to achieve very high DDR5 frequency for daily use. 4 DIMM memory overclocking was exceptionally difficult, and it took me a few days to get reasonable speeds posting and running stable in various situations. On the video I go through many of the settings in great detail, because trust me it is anything but easy to get 4 sticks running well at high speeds. Highest frequency I managed to get to was DDR5-7600 with 4 DIMMs, 7550MT/s in tests like Geekbench 3 and AIDA64, and HCI Memtest stable at DDR5-7200.
