I did the first one of this series almost 5 years ago (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kvnpQLTAA_Y) ... here, finally, is the follow-up. !!! at this rate I should have all 'em done sometime around 2065. It works like this... first you hear the interval (on the piano) ascending .. then you hear it again with the vocal reinforcement ... then you hear it descending with the vocal... then you hear it in harmonic form (ie: the two notes played at the same time.) ... then the whole pattern repeats at another place on the piano. some famous songs with a prominent ascending major second in the melody: "Happy Birthday" "Frere Jacques" "Silent Night" and here's some with a descending major 2nd: "Yesterday" "Three Blind Mice" "Mary Had A Little Lamb" ... all intervals ascending: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=frx0CQL47Zw |
