Emanuel Evangelin has completed her first phase of training as the first female pilot from Mannar district. She was born in 1999 as the daughter to a couple in Kathankulam village, Vattakandal, Mannar Manthai West Divisional Secretariat Division. She has completed her school education in Mannar St. Saveriyar Women's College. She later Joined Asian Aviation Center in Colombo in 2020 to achieve her childhood goal of becoming a pilot. She has completed her first stage training (PPL Stage) She plans to complete the entire training in two years and come out as a complete pilot. Even though Mannar district is a bit lagged economically, Mannar district is ahead in other aspects such education, arts, culture, sports etc. Emmanuel Evangeline, as the first female pilot from Mannar District has brought an honor to her home town.
