| Video Discription | Our family absolutely ADORES Roger & Melanie Hoffman & their family. ♥♥ They are both immensely talented singers/songwriters, & their huge collection of beautiful, uplifting sacred music has deeply blessed my life ever since I was a boy. ^_^ I was SO lucky to grow up in the Heatheridge 2nd Ward in Orem (from age 9 on) w/ the Hoffman's, & I have countless musical memories w/ them. ♪♪ Before my angel father (Mark Sargeant) passed away on 12/29/19, he had requested that Roger & Melanie sing a duet of their classic song "Gethsemane" at his funeral (which was held on Saturday in Orem). ♥ Here's a video (filmed by my sweet niece, Delia Phillips) of me accompanying them on it during our rehearsal at their lovely home on Friday evening. ♪♪ This simple song's POWERFUL message about the Savior has always touched me to my core, & I know that Jesus & His Atonement carried my dad through his brave, brutal battle w/ A.L.S. the last 3 years. :'( And Dad was/is truly one of THE most Christlike people I know!! ♥ THANK YOU to the Hoffman's for this touching musical tribute to Dad (especially to Melanie, since she was at the end of a cold), & thx to Roger for directing the congregational hymns at my dad's funeral. ♪♪ LYRICS: Jesus climbed the hill to the garden still.
