| Video Discription | I have just finished restoring this little melodeon, it is likely from the early 1850s. The brand is unknown, but I believe that it could have been made by Carhart & Needham. It is a single exhauster melodeon - this means that it is pumped with only one foot only, the other foot pedal (left) is for volume control only. The legs can fold in, and this little music machine becomes easily portable. I can only image where it has all been over the past 160 years... This is a fun and easy instrument to play, and will remain as another organ in my collection! |
