| Video Discription | Dear Friends, The latest chapter from our Friends of Florence Stories continues here with the video (link below) realised by Art Media Studio for the restoration of Michelangelo’s David, Tribune paintings and the Prisoners in the Galleria dell’Accademia. The project began in 2003 with the restoration of the 22 paintings in the Tribune and then continued with intensive diagnostic tests for Michelangelo’s David, the creation of an educational website and DVD about the intervention on this masterpiece and ultimately conservation of the Prisoners. Our work still continues today with the maintenance of the David and other sculptural artworks in the Galleria. “The maintenance of Michelangelo’s sculptures has been part of our continued work for many years now. This is a fundamental project for Friends of Florence because we believe that the conservation of our heritage, especially of such important masterpieces, must inevitably include constant, ongoing care and prevention,” Buon viaggio!
