| Video Discription | The first session of the 18th Lok Sabha started today. Newly-elected MPs, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, will take the oath from 11 am onwards. This is the first Parliament session after the general elections were held from April to June. Pro tempore Speaker Bhartruhari Mahtab, a seven-time MP, will administer the oath to the new members of the House. 280 newly-elected MPs, including PM Modi and his Council of Ministers, will take oath, today, while 264 newly-elected parliamentarians will take oath the next day (June 25).
