Some additional thoughts/information if you’re interested: Grow kits are overrated… This isn’t my TEK, but it is my favorite one. It’s a roughly replicated of “BOD's Easy AF UnBODified Monotub” tek. Thank you Bods! Mushroom growing is likely far easier than you might think, if you haven’t tried it yourself. From start to finish, mushrooms can be grown faster than fruits & vegetables (with the exception of Microgreens, of course, mushrooms have protein though). They require less energy, maintenance, and water to grow too (they like the same temperatures humans do), making them have lower climate impact than most farming/gardening. Also easier to grow indoors, as climate change accelerates and makes outdoors less favorable for growing plants. Coco Coir actually absorbs Carbon Dioxide too, making it a pretty environmentally conscious source of substrate, not to mention you can inoculate with colonized grain/rice in open air, no vent hood required.
