Maurya has now joined the Samajwadi Party and cited neglect of Dalits and OBCs as the reason behind his defection. UP is going to the polls on February 10th and March 07th with the results being announced on the 10th of March. The BJP and the SP are in a very close fight to gain control of the electorally important state.
