In our Day , Today life, We always look out for new snacks recipes .
Today, I’m Gonna to make murmura Poha ( puffed rice snacks ), Murmura ( puffed rice ) also known as Laiya , murmura poha is a healthy, light and crunchy snack which is like by almost all class of people. a common and easy snack recipe made with simple ingredients, like green peas, peanuts n potato etc. This Veg recipe is very tasty , spicy and healthy snack for your evening cup of tea or coffee or you can serve these as party starters or appetizers. these are very light and soft and can be served as it is, but tastes great with green chutney , tomato ketchup or with Garlic red chili sauce. This is very easy , you must Try out this quick murmura poha recipe and enjoy!
INGREDIENTS : -
- 1 Cup Puffed Rice ,
- 1 big spoon refined oil.
- ¼ cup peanuts / groundnuts.
- ¼ Cup green peas.
- 1 small potato , peeled and diced,
- 1 onion finely chopped, 8-10 curry leaves.
- Handful of chopped coriander leaves
- ½ tsp of mustered seeds,
- 1 Tomato diced,
- ½ tsp of red chili powder,
- ½ tsp of turmeric powder,
- Salt to taste,
RECIPE : -
- Wash puffed Rice ( murmura ) nicely in a big pot , with enough water.
- Rinse and put a Colander over a pot, put puffed Rice over it for 4-5 minutes , Keep them aside in colander itself to drain out the water completely and gets soft.
- Meanwhile, put refined oil in a heated pan,
- Add peanuts and shallow fry on medium flames for 2 minutes or till turn golden brown, Take it out and keep it aside.
- In a same pan, add mustard seeds, and sauté for 30 seconds or until they start spluttering.
- Add chopped onion and curry leaves, sauté until they turn turmeric / golden brown.
- Add chopped potatoes and green peas. Mix / Stir it. Nicely.
- Add turmeric powder, red chili powder, salt to taste and chopped tomato, mix nicely.
- Cook on medium flames, till turn soft.
- In between check about softness of potatoes and cook accordingly.
- Stir in between,
- Add rinsed puffed rice and mix nicely.
- Add roasted peanuts and mix again. Add coriander chopped leaves , mix again.
A very tasty light murmura poha snack is ready ,
Serve hot in a pot.
Squeeze a lemon juice , and enjoy at breakfast or at any tea time with tea / coffee.
