| Video Discription | The Little Manila Dance Collective closes out the 2018 Community Showcase. A community nestled by the Rio Grande de Mindanao, Maguindanao translates to "people of the flood plains." They are a peaceful community who pride themselves on their moro identity, colorful attire, ancient music, and artful dance. The dances performed have been passed to LMDC by Salamaindanao Dance Company led by Faisal Monal while the staging was inspired by Parangal Dance Company of San Francisco. These dances are inspired by presentations during a pagan, or communal banquet in the presence of royal Sultanate family members. Choreography inspired by Faisal Monal, Eric Solano, Joseph Allen Ramirez. Music inspired by Master Danny Kalanduyan, Faisal Monal, Bernard Ellorin. |
