Police say the number of casualties could increase, as some of the victims are in critical condition. The site in the Namyangju... was rocked by an explosion at 7:20 a.m., with one witness saying the explosion was so powerful it shook buildings nearby. Seventeen workers were doing welding work on the site when the blast occurred. Those buried under the debris were rescued and immediately transported to nearby hospitals for treatment. Police believe an oxygen cylinder at the site exploded, but an investigation into the exact cause is underway.
