| Video Discription | We got off the beaten track in the Barsur region of Chhattisgarh and stayed at ₹400 village home-stay with tribal Indians! Indian Tribes in Chhattisgarh live very close to nature, they're very different to city and town dwellers. We spent a lot of time in Naxalite areas of Chhattisgarh and didn't have any issues. There was a lot of Army presence as you'll see in the video. But generally it's safe for tourists and the Naxalites are mainly targetting Government and Police officials. The home-stay was just 400 Rs. per person, including the same food we ate in the video (Lentil Soup, Bambo & Chickpeas Curry, Ant Curry, Rice, and more tribal foods all locally prepared). These are all traditional Chhattisgarh village foods made with their own homemade spices and ingredients - you'll not find these flavours anywhere else.
