Based on a fictitious island resort within Queensland's Whitsundays, this twice-weekly Australian drama was produced by Crawford Productions at chilly Nunawading, Melbourne as well as Tangalooma Island Resort, off shore from Brisbane. This short-lived, entertaining series was brought to an end at the 64th episode, the closing theme at a much slower pace for a subdued moment of aussie TV history. Russell's great line - "where can it be wrong...look at it...it throbs...it pulsates...it explodes in your face practically...its as sexy as all get out!". Not sure whether Holiday Island lived up to that! |
