| Video Discription | og video https://youtu.be/B34PBHYmcnQ don't even get me started with "dark souls stood alone" (1:39:57), ninja gaiden 2 dropped in 2008 how can you genuinely say something like that (edit: I meant black knight halberd instead of banished knight halberd) afterword: the publisher of the game has made official strategy guides on youtube, and the developers are likely inspired by The Tower of Druaga, a game known for being difficult and obtuse to 1): unite a community and 2): to sell a strategy guide so yeah that proves my point I think I messed up in four spots 1: "my battles were razor edge close down to the last flask, and mohg is great because I curbstomped him with 7 flasks on hand" I should've emphasized more on that the second part should've been more about how a boss that forces a cleaner run (like mohg) is cool because the successful attempt I had is clean 2: I should've realized that fromsoft adores BS from their first game (king's field) and some of my favorite games are SMT/Ninja Gaiden/Rhythm Games wait a minute I love unfair BS* *as long as it's fun to deal with said unfair BS they don't care about being "hard but fair" they will make a grab that will level you down just to shock you, that's why demon's souls is my favorite out of the usual dark souls games (bloodborne and elden ring feel more like spinoffs to the formula and sekiro isn't even a soulsborne) 3: dual katanas aren't the meta, iron balls are (I'm pretty sure with the right setup anything can be damaging as all can be) 4: I do think I have ripped a little bit too much from lupineOS's video on joseph anderson, apologies this is my first analysis video 5: most kingdom hearts BBS bosses do not randomly break out of combos, but vanitas and MF does, I get vanitas a lil bit but why mf also demon's souls fans are kinda hilarious, as much as I love that game the bosses are some of the worst in an fs game, they ain't good puzzle fights due to the solution often being binary, malenia's waterfowl dance is a better puzzle than any of demon's souls boss fights due to it having multiple solutions with drawbacks and pros, actual depth in dealing with an action game attack wow I haven't played much kingdom hearts 3d but young xehanort prolly did false idol's gimmick of resurrecting after death in a much better fashion really wished that king allant did damage more scaled to elden ring cause while the level down grab is memorable it ain't mean much if the player can survive it multiple times, win on the first try and get back all of their levels and then some also is dodge roll abuse the souls equivalent of the jak 2 spinshot, touted as the meta in youtube circles and then those youtube circles complain about the game being too overtuned for their suboptimal playstyle, it seems like a simple way to survive delayed attacks is to use a shield or smth I should replay this game just to learn more about maliketh, maliketh phase 1 is one of my favorite encounters in any game, I still think phase 2 is cool just that I'm more experienced in MKP1 than MKP2 |
