But names of fish do matter and became a topic of national discussion earlier this year when a study showed how often the fish used in restaurants and markets around the country were mislabeled. In this episode of UnderH2O, we take a look at fish names on the coral reef. Common names, scientific names, and Hawaiian names (or names in any other language) are all used for different purposes and all serve a need.
