Samsung Washing Machine Oe Error Code (Meaning And How To Solve). In this video tutorial I will show how to fix Samsung Washing Machine Oe error code.
The OE error code on a Samsung washing machine indicates an overflow error, meaning your machine has detected more water than it should have. The level sensor, called the pressure switch, transmits a signal to your washing machine, signifying an excess of water beyond the program's designated requirement. Consequently, the machine halts its washing operation and activates the pump to remove the surplus water.
The following are some of the common causes of the OE error code:
Clogged drain hose
This is the most common culprit. The drain hose could be blocked by debris, such as coins, lint, or hair.
Faulty drain pump
The drain pump expels water from the machine. If it's not working correctly, the water won't drain, and the machine will overflow.
Unsuitable detergent
Using the wrong type of detergent, not designed for high-efficiency machines, can cause excessive sudsing due to its higher sudsing power. Additionally, using too much detergent, even the right kind, can create excessive suds. This foam can interfere with the water level sensor, tricking it into thinking the machine is overflowing even when it's not.
Now, let’s look at the best solutions you can apply to fix the OE error code.
Check the drain hose:
When the drain hose is blocked, water cannot flow out of your machine effectively. This raises the water level above the intended limit, triggering the overflow sensor. The overflow sensor detects excess water and signals the machine to stop the cycle and prevent damage. To resolve, do this:
⦁ Make sure the drain hose is clear of any blockages.
⦁ You can disconnect the hose from the back of the machine and clean it out.
⦁ Ensure that the drain hose is not kinked or bent, as this can restrict water flow.
Check the Drain Pump:
The drain pump removes water from the machine. If it is not working correctly, the water will not drain, and the machine will overflow.
You may need to do this:
⦁ Listen for any unusual noises coming from the pump during the drain cycle, as some unusual sounds may indicate a foreign object stuck in the pump impeller.
⦁ Replace a faulty drain pipe.
Use suitable laundry detergent.
Over time, using unsuitable detergents can leave residue in the detergent dispenser and other parts of your machine. This buildup can restrict water flow and contribute to overflow issues. Try the following:
⦁ Run an empty rinse cycle to flush out any remaining suds and residue.
⦁ Clean the detergent dispenser thoroughly.
⦁ Switch to a high-efficiency detergent and use the correct dosage.
