| Video Discription | When I was an aspiring actor of 19 my college gave me the role of Salieri in the play that became the oscar winning film ‘Amadeus’. As the author, Peter Shaffer introduced me to the very notion of range as an actor, and set me on the path to making my living from the craft. His play stretched me, challenged my belief in myself and gave me an extraordinary gift; an appreciation of Mozart, inherited through his vengeful imagining of Salieri. Since hearing of his passing, the words of Salieri’s close to Act 1 of the play have come back to haunt me. I've long since left my acting career, but instead of the 12 training videos I should be filming today, I felt compelled to do this instead. |
