So you're probably asking yourself what's the best job title I can get right now? What sounds the most impressive? This is a mistake. You end up thinking in terms of the job titles that sound the best, even though you don't know what you're going to be doing on a day-to-day basis in those jobs. Instead start out by thinking about what you'd link to be doing on a day-to-day basis professionally. You need to map out what do you want your professional lifestyle to look like. The best way to do this is to think about what a day in the life of you, as your future profession in industry, would look like. What would the average week look like? Ask questions such as: How much would you be traveling? Where would you be in terms of pay? Is it the position where you're paid the most? A position where you're paid adequately because you're working in-house? A field position? A commercialization position? Is it a very innovative position? Is it a numbers-heavy position? Is it a data-heavy position? All of these questions matter and it's something that you need to consider.
