| Video Discription | PLEASE TURN ON ANNOTATIONS, THEY EXPLAIN WHAT'S GOING ON IN THIS VIDEO Edit: Also check out my 4-stroke engine! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3i_FOs-RjJA I built a single piston, 2 stroke engine engine in Algodoo v2.0.1 Because I don't know of a way to actually combust materials or simulate gas pressure, I instead used small particles with a high coefficient of restitution to simulate the fuel (as shown in the video). The black particles are all stacked on top of each other, but tied to a single yellow "fuel" particle. Once the one holding them together is destroyed, they explode away from each other. Please note that this way of simulating fuel/combustion is extremely processor heavy, because there's a lot of particles to keep track of. |
