| Video Discription | What is geography? It is the study of Earth. Geography is divided into two important components - Human Geography and Physical Geography. It is from NCERT book and is important for IAS / CSE, Civil Service, SSC CGL, NDA, CDS exams. Physical Geography contains :- There are mountains, hills, valleys, plains, plateaus, oceans, lakes, deserts and wilderness. Human Geography contains :- social and cultural features. So understanding of the relationship between the physical environment and social/cultural features is what we do in Geography. The term geography was first coined by Eratosthenese, a Greek scholar (276-194 BC.). The word has been derived from two roots from Greek language geo (earth) and graphos (description).
