Former US president Donald Trump is set to stand trial in New York City over hush money payments made to adult film actress Stormy Daniels. Mr Trump has been charged with 34 felony counts of falsifying business records for his alleged role in the hush money scheme prior to the 2016 presidential election. This trial could be the first of four he will face as he also juggles his time on the campaign trail for the 2024 US presidential election.
