| Video Discription | In this video, I discuss a topic going around in the SOK Battery Facebook page. A user had their Furrion MPPT solar controller go wild, which resulted in their battery being totally destroyed. The solar controller failed and provided the battery with a voltage far beyond what it was rated for. A 12v battery should never really go above 16v. The SOK batteries are advertised as having "Overcharge Protection"...But the question is, is the expectation that the protection system should still work if you connect it to a voltage an order of magnitude higher than the rating?
