| Video Discription | We were recently in Laguna Beach Ca. checking out the evening vibe of the area documenting some of the local businesses & had some intense encounters simply for recording in public. The main interaction came from a local merchant who took issue with our recording from the sidewalk & decided to follow us to the corner, where a small mob of people decided to start claiming we were harassing people without knowing all the details .One individual who appeared drunk in public began using profanities towards us. A short time later two officers arrived by foot on scene & explained to the shop merchant that we had a right to record in public using the "Unfortunately there's nothing we can do" narrative. I did call out the officer afterwards for that negative approach & she actually agreed that it might not have been the best choice of wording. #FirstAmendmentAudit #1AAudit #PublicPhotography #OrangeCounty |
