Well the city of Perth in Western Australia gave it a try, to some pretty promising results. But can free public transport get people to ditch theirs cars in favour of trains, metros, buses, trams etc...? In this video, I look at how free mass transit in Perth worked out, as well as how it (and reduced fare prices) worked out in other parts of the world including Tasmania and Victoria. |
