Dr. Wagler graduated from Sterling College in Kansas before earning his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine at Oklahoma State University. Dr. Wagler completed an internship and residency in internal medicine at William Beaumont Army Medical Center in El Paso, Texas. Next, he completed his fellowship in rheumatology at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland. Dr. Wagler chose rheumatology because of his love for science and helping people, and. the opportunity to treat unusual diseases. “The treatments that we have for rheumatoid arthritis and for our other inflammatory diseases can really prevent a lot of the damage that we used to see much more often such as deformities from RA. We don't see those things nearly as often as we used to.” Dr. Wagler is grateful for the opportunity to transform patients' lives and improve their quality of life. The best part of his job is finding solutions to alleviate the pain of his patients. He is determined to investigate the root of an issue and inform his patients about the condition they are experiencing. Outside of work, Dr. Wagler values time with his wife, Lena, and their four children. He credits his wife for being a constant support. He enjoys being outdoors, distance running, and competing in marathons. Dr. Wagler also likes reading and learning about history. |
