Text of his Oath: Rajeev Chandrasekhar emba naanu Rajya Sabha sadasyanaagi chunaayita aadavanaagi kaanoonu moolaka sthaapitavaada Bhaaratada Samvidhanakke Satya, Shraddhe mattu nishteyannu hondiruttene endu, Bharatada Saarva Bhoumateyannu mattu Akhandateyannu etti hidiyuttene endu, mattu naanu eega kaigollaliruva kartavyavannu shraddha poorvakavaagi nirvahisuttene endu devara hesarinalli pramaana maaduttene. English Translation : I, Rajeev Chandrasekhar, having been elected a member of the Council of States (Rajya Sabha) do swear in the name of God that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the Constitution of India as by law established, that I will uphold the sovereignty and integrity of India and that I will faithfully discharge the duty upon which I am about to enter. Today I took oath for my third term as MP - to protect & serve Country and constitution - watched by my parents !
