2: According to sources, Rajini has over 63000 fan club worldwide for his acting style, with followers even in Japan after his movie "Muthu" was dubbed in Japanese. Rajinikanth's success in Japan prompted Newsweek, an American news magazine, to declare in 1999 that he had "supplanted Leonardo DiCaprio as Japan's trendiest heartthrob." The Superstar has six Tamil Nadu State Film Awards for Best Actor and one Filmfare Award for the film 'Nallavanukku Nallavan'.
Where Rajini excels in style, Kamal Haasan excels in acting performance. He is regarded as one of India's foremost method actors, and he is well-known for having appeared in the greatest number of films submitted by India for the Oscars (i.e. Academy Awards) in the Best Foreign Language Film category.
3: And, in terms of most popular movies, Rajini's most recent release, Robot, was the most expensive Indian film ever filmed as of 2010, and went on to become the highest-grossing film in India at the time. Robot also made the top 50 on IMDB's ranking of the top 205 films in the world in 2010, and is the only Tamil film to do so. Similarly, Kamal Haasan's Dasavathaaram, in which he played ten different roles, is regarded as one of the earliest modern sci-fi films created in India, which the actor co-wrote with the film's director (K. S. Ravikumar). It is also one of the most expensive Indian films ever produced. As of 2008, the film was the biggest grossing film in Tamil cinema history, and he received critical accolades for his portrayal. Walt Disney Pictures distributed the picture in Canada, making it the company's first Tamil release. It eventually earned more than $2 billion globally. Among Kamal's other hits include 'Nayagan,' which earned him his third Indian National Award.
