| Video Discription | People of Saurashtra will get the opportunity to enjoy the Janmashtami Mela in Rajkot after a gap of two years. The mela had been cancelled in 2020 and 2021 in view of Covid pandemic. Police officials have been asked to take care of the law and order in the mela, CCTV cameras, security, traffic, parking and emergency helpline numbers. The municipal corporation was asked to take care of fire safety, health facilities and checking of food qualities. The mela is a much-awaited event for the people of Saurashtra and those who are natives of Saurashtra but are settled elsewhere also join this event. According to a rough estimate, around 10 lakh people flock to Rajkot during this mela. Over 150 stores, rides and other activities are put in place and the mela runs for 24 hours on all the five days.
