Other areas, including Safdarjung, Mungeshpur, Pitampura, and Jafarpur, also reported dangerously high temperatures, with Safdarjung hitting 44.1 degrees Celsius. The forecast predicts that temperatures could reach up to 46 degrees Celsius by Friday, 24 May. Naresh Kumar from IMD warns that the city may face even worse conditions in the coming days. The IMD advises residents to stay indoors as much as possible and to keep hydrated to cope with the extreme heat.
