| Video Discription | Episode 61 Namaste, We are Shirish and Pooja and Welcome to Apple Snail Special Episode of @RedSoilStories I was in the field, the rain has stopped from the morning, It rained heavily in last few days. Apple snails also Known as Koke/Khubare/Khube in local language started showing up in the fields filled with water. I and my cousin brother were collecting these snails. Local people here eat the flesh of these snails in this season as fishing is shut down due to monsoon and heavy rain. Local people depend on such protein sources when fishing is not happening. Some viewers might not like it or find it disturbing to watch the cooking process of snails but these are primitive local practices and forgotten recipes. We collected few snails and I went home and my brother went for some of his work. I gave the snails to Pooja, she cleaned them, boiled and then we separated the flesh from shells of those snails. Pooja prepared a traditional apple snail recipe, I asked her to pack it for me and brother and we had our lunch in the field. Pooja had lunch with Raja and Mowgli.
