| Video Discription | Episode 92 Namaste, We are Shirish and Pooja and Welcome to a Amla ( Indian Gooseberry ) Special Episode of @RedSoilStories One fine day Pooja went to our neighbor's farm to harvest some fresh Amla ( Indian Gooseberry ). She collected a basketful of Amla and returned home. Upon arrival she washed few of the Amla and Kept for sun drying. Pooja wanted to prepare multiple dishes from Amla this season which Included Amla Syrup, Amla Candy, Amla Instant Spicy Pickle, Amla Sweet pickle. All these are very easy and long lasting dishes. For Amla Candy Pooja took some steamed amla slices and mixed them with sugar candy and kept the mixture for two days. After two days the slices were strained out and kept for drying for another 3-4 days. The remaining juice was boiled and reduced added few spice and the amla syrup was ready. This amla syrup can be diluted with water to make amla juice ( Gooseberry Juice ). After 3-4 days the dried candies were coated in powdered sugar and the amla candy was ready. For Instant Spicy Amla Pickle she cut the fresh amla into slices added few spices and it was ready, Sweet pickle was prepared with the help of Jaggery and few spices. All these preparations have longer shelf life and can be prepared in this Amla season. We enjoyed Amla Candy and Amla Juice in the end. Let us know how do you liked this episode..!
