| Video Discription | (15 Mar 2021) Thai authorities set up mobile testing units for COVID-19 on Monday near a market on the outskirts of Bangkok where a new cluster of more than 100 cases was confirmed over the weekend. Long lines of people, mostly local residents and vendors from Bang Khae outdoor market where the new cluster was reported, stretched along the main road as health officials in mobile units took nasal swabs. Bang Khae market, one of the largest outdoor markets in the Bangkok suburb, has been ordered to be temporarily closed. On Monday, the authorities reported a total of 107 cases were detected with links to the market with some cases found in other provinces outside Bangkok. Rujira Arin, head of Bang Khae district, said it is very important that city carries out as much as testing as it can to control the situation. The city plans to offer 1,000 tests per day free of charge until March 18. Thailand saw the last surge of cases in December last year and imposed partial lockdown restrictions to control the situation. The number of new COVID-19 cases had dropped in recent weeks after some of rules were eased.
