Classic Game Room reviews THE REVENGE OF SHINOBI for the Sega Genesis 16-bit video game system by Sega released in 1989. The Sega Genesis game console (aka the Mega Drive Megadrive) is CHRHD's favorite gaming system, and it's no surprise that Revenge of Shinobi is one of our favorite games. This two parters looks at this amazing side scrolling action game and what sets it apart from the rest. What we need is more 2d two dimentional side scrollers on game systems like the Playstation 3 PS3 and Xbox 360 and Wii. Although some platformers and 2 D side scrollers have hit Xbox Live Arcade XBLA we want brand new ones that combine old school action with martial arts mayhem, great stories, fun gameplay and characters. Revenge of Shinobi has it all! Break out the Genesis and enjoy a couple games of Shinobi.... Disco Shinobi of course. They should remake this game for 2008, 2009, 2010, or 2011, a remade Shinobi sequel for a new gamer system would be amazing. Be sure to watch the original Classic Game Room episodes.
