| Video Discription | Whilst Brearley's England were thumping the Aussies down under, Richmond CC embarked upon a 2 week tour of Sri Lanka. Eight games were played and six of them are featured in this short film - v Bohra SC, Singhalese SC, Ceylon Tobacco Company, Dickoya-Maskeliya CC (DMCC), Nondescripts CC and Colombo Colts CC. The games v Tamil Union CC and Colombo CC are not covered. The shots were grabbed during periods when I wasn't fielding in the intense heat, batting (generally very briefly) or carrying out 12th man duties. The players on tour were: Richmond CC - David Heyn, Ricky Cameron, Dave Gorman, Alastair Evans-Gordon, Ed Shellard, Martyn Stear, Robin Pearson, Pat Neate, Richard Fuller & Derek Hunkin. Ex-Richmond - Frank O'Gorman, Fulton Paterson & Chris Winn. Guests - Jack Adamson (Winchmore Hill), Mike Milton (Finchley), Ken York & Geoff Varley (both Mill Hill). All can be seen at some point in the film, as can Derek Pearson (umpire), Sue Lewis and Sandra Hudson. |
