| Video Discription | Today, it seemed interesting to revisit France's Fusil Automatique Modèle 1917. This rifle is also referred to as the RSC in tribute to its designers Ribeyrolles, Sutter, and Chauchat. It was the first self-loading (semi-automatic) infantry rifle to be mass produced and issued in respectable numbers. The RSC M1917 saw heavy use during the last two years of the Great War, and continued within the French Army for another decade.
